Canon USA & Affiliates National Solutions Analyst in Schaumburg, Illinois
Responsible for providing advanced technical knowledge, counsel, and expertise in direct support of securing sales of networked printing and scanning devices as well as associated software/servers and professional and consulting services. Provide technical knowledge in sales meetings, presentations, demonstrations, customer trainings, and the delivery of professional services - whether on-site, via conference call, or via remote sessions.
Assists in providing technical knowledge in sales meetings, presentations, demonstrations, surveys, inspections, and the delivery of professional services - whether on-site, via conference call, or via remote sessions.
Meets with customer IT staff as subject matter expert.
Assists with RFP responses and formulates questions for additional information needed and solutions to be proposed.
Drives developing workflows and assessments that are being tested under Proof of Concept (POC) to ensure successful solution outcomes to be delivered to the end customer for their review and approval.
Provides on-going project management support on large, complex, diverse, and challenging solution architecting and implementation.
Assists in the installation and integration of products and product applications.
Responsible for generating professional services revenue streams independent of equipment and software sales, conducting customer training classes, and providing installation and integration direction of advanced Canon Solutions America solutions.
Understands and is comfortable in using Windows systems (client and server), networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory, workgroup and domain environments, firewalls), remote access methods (Remote Desktop and VNC), virtual environments (VMware), understanding of printing related topics (PCL, Postscript, print driver settings).
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 3 to 5 years of related experience.
Pre/post sales or equivalent experience.
May require up to 50% travel locally, regionally, and/or nationally (valid driver-s license and acceptable driving record necessary) requiring overnight stays.
PPS Specific: Color Management Professional Master, Network+. Basic knowledge of SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio. Advanced knowledge of at least 3 PPS file formats and standards (AFP, postscript, LCDS/Metacode, PCL, IPDS, PPML, VIPP, JDF). Actively assist customers with application on-boarding activities to increase print volumes. Responsible for detailed communications defining product requirements and issues to Software Development teams as a part of RSHQ responsibility for the Americas. Responsible for support of Canada, Mexico, and Latin America for software product training and problem resolution.
LFS Specific: Color Management Professional Master, MS-MTA, ITIL Foundations. Based upon knowledge of enterprise level customer expectations, responsible for detailed communications defining product requirements, missing capabilities, market expectations and issues to Software Development teams as a part of RSHQ responsibility for the Americas. Responsible for the highest level of Canon Canada, Mexico, and Latin America for software product training and problem resolution. Support and escalations of Canon Solutions America LFS customers and dealers. Escalate issues to the appropriate business group for resolution. Provide third level support to the Canon Solutions America Software Help Desk team.
ESS Specific: CDIA+, Network+, VMware VCA, uniFLOW Presales, uniFLOW, Therefore, Knowledge of Windows systems (Client and Server), uniFLOW, and Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE. uniFLOW Technician and uniFLOW Diagnostics preferred.
