Canon USA & Affiliates Logistics Specialist in Melville, New York
The Logistics Specialist (Specialist, Logistics) will be responsible for a certain region and distribution centers for daily exports. Will also be handling inquiries from business units/customers and will coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure timely shipments. This person may also be supporting various import / export compliance audits to maintain current compliance programs.
Prepare/coordinate daily export shipments including data entry, internal and external communications, and record keeping and filing
Communicate with external vendors and service providers, including trucking companies
Prepare export invoices and file AES (Automated Export System) as required
Summarize and prepare reports as required
Track trends and make recommendations for efficiency purposes
Communicate effectively with all parties
Audit and approve invoices from service providers
Perform administrative duties as required
May support various import / export compliance audits
Bachelor's degree is required.
3 - 5 years of relevant work experience is required: export operations and documentation
Must possess strong organizational, written, analytical, administrative and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of Excel,Powerpointt, Word and other related software
Import experience is a plus
