Canon USA & Affiliates E-commerce Specialist in Melville, New York

Overview

Canon's Latin American Division is seeking an E-Commerce Specialist for the consumer division supporting consumer products sold in Latin America. As an E-Commerce Specialist you will develop, implement, track and optimize social media campaigns across all platforms and maintain product visibility on the company’s official websites and online store/e-commerce site for Latin American countries.

Must be bilingual in Spanish and English and will be assessed by a professional language proficiency test.

This role leverages a Plan-Do-Check-Act approach to continually optimize our approach to the market, and balances a mix of strategy and analysis with content creation and go-to-market execution.The ideal candidate for this position will bring a balance of hard and soft skills, a natural curiosity to learn and grow, and a demonstrated history of successfully executing marketing campaigns. Bringing a positive attitude and interest in working in a collaborative culture is also a must.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize website product categories based on metrics such as sales history, search trends, seasonality and available inventory.

  • Work with cross-functional partners to ensure that the website is up-to-date and accurate with respect to graphics, promotions and products on a day-to-day basis.

  • Track and analyze data related to search trends, customer buying patterns, online campaigns and promotions.

  • Monitor sales performance across Canon Latin America e-stores

  • May coordinate with other departments regarding inventory issues on website.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and feedback regarding orders, billing inquiries and technical problem notifications.

  • Grant user access, and coordinate product visibility based on contracts.

  • Work with customers when issues arise, and escalate when necessary.

  • Participate in agreement renewals, reviews customer requests and ensure all necessary information is included.

  • Route agreement requests to sales department.

  • Collaborate with e-commerce teams in the optimization of e-stores content and user experience

  • Act as a communication bridge between Latin America e-commerce contacts an IT local teams during the migration of our e-stores to a new platform

  • Participate in monthly meetings with the Latin America contacts where results and sales strategies are reviewed [including CRM integration efforts. e-commerce campaign results and recommendations]

  • Work with local e-commerce managers and advertising agencies in the development of web content and digital campaigns to drive e-stores traffic and conversions

  • Support digital marketing team with benchmarking projects as needed

  • Track strategy action plans across the region

  • Oversee web content translation projects

  • Read and proof content created in-house and with agencies during product launches

  • Some light travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Must be bilingual in Spanish and English and will be assessed by a professional language proficiency test

  • BA degree in Marketing, Business or related field is required, or relevant experience will be considered.

  • 3-5 Years of relevant experience is required, preferably in the camera/video industry

  • Expert knowledge of Google Analytics and Tag Manager is required.

  • Must have experience with payment gateways and rich content creation.

  • Coding knowledge is a plus.

  • Having experience doing business within the Latin American Markets is preferable.

  • Must have MS Office skills

  • Must have analytical skills and some experience tracking and editing performance reports and/or dashboards

  • Must have the ability to work independently and be a self-starter within a team setting

  • Some knowledge of SEO / SEM preferable

  • Must be familiar with client server platforms support and various system applications.
