Canon USA & Affiliates Analyst, Natl Solutions in Melville, New York

Overview

Responsible for providing advanced technical knowledge, counsel, and expertise in direct support of securing sales of networked printing and scanning devices as well as associated software/servers and professional and consulting services. Provide technical knowledge in sales meetings, presentations, demonstrations, customer trainings, and the delivery of professional services – whether on-site, via conference call, or via remote sessions.

Responsibilities

-Assists in providing technical knowledge in sales meetings, presentations, demonstrations, surveys, inspections, and the delivery of professional services – whether on-site, via conference call, or via remote sessions.

-Meets with customer IT staff as subject matter expert.

-Assists with RFP responses and formulates questions for additional information needed and solutions to be proposed.

-Drives developing workflows and assessments that are being tested under Proof of Concept (POC) to ensure successful solution outcomes to be delivered to the end customer for their review and approval.

-Provides on-going project management support on large, complex, diverse, and challenging solution architecting and implementation. Assist in the installation and integration of products and product applications.

-Responsible for generating professional services revenue streams independent of equipment and software sales, conducting customer training classes, and providing installation and integration direction of advanced Canon Solutions America solutions.

-Understands and is comfortable in using Windows systems (client and server), networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory, workgroup and domain environments, firewalls), remote access methods (Remote Desktop and VNC), virtual environments (VMware), understanding of printing related topics (PCL, Postscript, print driver settings).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required

  • 3-5 years relevant business experience

  • Pre/post sales or equivalent experience

  • CDIA+, Network+, VMware VCA, uniFLOW Presales, uniFLOW, Therefore, Knowledge of Windows systems (Client and Server), and Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE. uniFLOW

  • Technician and uniFLOW Diagnostics preferred.

  • May require up to 50% travel locally, regionally, and/or nationally (valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record necessary) requiring overnight stays
