Canon USA & Affiliates Specialist, General Affairs in Itasca, Illinois
As a General Affairs Specialist you will focus on the overall real estate and facilities functions, which would involve reviewing and estimating design costs including equipment, installation, labor, material, preparation and other related costs.
Work with users to develop specifications and project parameters for specific jobs with regard to corporate real estate, construction, and architecture for facilities.
Coordinate scheduling and communication, and act as liaison to project management concerning bids, subcontracting, progress and delays. May be responsible for estimates, schedules, materials and purchase orders.
Support General Affairs’ initiatives in communicating with landlords and building representatives on lease renewals, new space, new leases.
Gather and analyze information to prepare reports on the progress of projects. Ensure that assignment and scheduling of work follows company policy.
Assist in preparing and managing specific budgets, and maintaining project schedules and timelines.
Maintain existing least tracking reports in a timely manner, and enhance them as necessary. Responsible for various General Affairs projects, real estate database and activity reports.
Maintain and enhance the filing system utilized by General Affairs in its corporate offices.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related discipline
2-4 years’ experience in the field or a related area, prior experience in a corporate environment is a must
Must be familiar with corporate protocol
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills required
Proficiency with MS Office suite of products required, proficiency with MS Project a plus
Must be willing to travel up to 50%
