Canon USA & Affiliates Director, Business Development in Itasca, Illinois


Responsible for growing the Textile Display Graphics hardware, ink and media business through the development of programs and engagement with key customers.


  • Responsible for creating a business plan to significantly increase placements of Textile DG printers and sell ink and media to these customers once units are placed.

  • Manages two reports directly. These positions will be Senior Account Executive – Textile Hardware Specialist and Senior Account Executive – Textile Media Specialist. These positions will work with the DG sales force to sell machines and supplies.

  • Dotted line responsibility of marketing, professional services and hardware service resources. Overall responsibility for the DG Textile project team.

  • Responsible for the development of a cross-functional strategic plan as well as implementation of an operating plan within Display Graphics based on market research and competitor analysis.

  • Develops, with executive management, strategy for both short and long term goals that directly impact the organization’s profitability.

  • Works with inside Lead Generation team to ensure a sufficient number of leads are generated.

  • Displays excellent human relations skills as judged by intellect, communications ability, approachability, and integrity.

  • Maintains a schedule of periodic contact with current and previous and potential customers to inquire about satisfaction with products, or need for services. Attends trade shows, marketing events, and performs continuous marketing activities to clients, partners and MAEs.

  • Provides direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization's philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives.


  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required.

  • 12 years of related experience in the field
