Canon USA & Affiliates Business Development Sales Analyst - RFP in Itasca, Illinois
We are looking for a RFP Business Development Analyst who is responsible for working in collaboration with sales management and staff to develop and create timely responses to RFP proposals. They will collaborate effectively with support group staff in the development of RFP proposals, including Marketing, Operations, Credit, Legal, Risk, Regulatory, and other support functions as necessary. Additionally, they are expected to proactively research RFP procurement websites and produces qualified RFP leads for appropriate sales personnel.
Identify new opportunity through an RFP process within Government and Education vertical markets
Pro-actively work to identify RFP take to action approach allow Canon Solutions America to be on the leading edge of the RFP
Ability to read and comprehend best RFPs that will be specked out to fit the Canon Solutions America product line
Qualify, review, and identify business gaps with RFI and RFP
Participate in RFP brainstorming sessions with integrated marketing team and sales reps
Maintain and nurture a pipeline for future RFPs
Create an RFP tracker and maintain supporting documentation and databases
Analyze and prepare required data, including performance information
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, and Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience
1-2 years’ experience in the marketing field, business field or other large firm with multiple concurrent projects
Experience with software/ printing /equipment/ electronics sales preferred, but not required
Must have RFP Government and Education vertical market experience and knowledge
Ability to handle questions and objections
Professional, outgoing, persistent personality traits
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
Must demonstrate in depth knowledge and understanding of the targeted audience
Ability to work closely with outside reps
